@kirloo @tapheret2 @rtmongold thank you for your active contributions! I added y'all as collaborators now, so you should be able to directly create branches instead of having to fork for a PR first. Please feel free to reply to newcomers on issues and review their PRs if interested. I wanted to start a discussion to communicate my plan for this repository. I am actively working on shaping the linear algebra portion of this crate (zero view matrices/large matrices/sparse matrices), as well as adding support for spatial geometry (quaternions/lie groups/jacobians). I intend to finish doing this over the next 5-7 days. Once done, I will then be moving on to adding kalman filter based estimation methods along with ODE solving methods. This culminates to being able to run wheeled robots like a roomba, written purely in rust and able to be deployed on multiple micro-controller types. What I'd like from you: Please continue to focus on the calculus side of things - derivatives/integrations/optimization modules, testing and embedded harnesses, documentation and ease of use changes. There's lots we can do and I'd be excited to hear if y'all have any ideas. Once v0.8 is out ~next week, y'all can then also help on fleshing out linear algebra and spatial geometry modules too. Lots we can do, thank you for your effort, I hope this is fun! Also feel free to discuss in this space ideas for what other things we can add. |
