There's some confusion about how the Patron discount choice functions. It doesn't give the perk selected, it just discounts it.
Restrict the list of Patron choices to perks the character either already have or could currently buy (if they had the discount). Then, automatically purchase a rank of that perk if it hasn't been purchased.
