Problem
Users have limited visibility into which applications access sensitive hardware like the webcam, microphone, or location services. Windows shows a brief indicator, but there is no persistent history or alerting.
Proposed solution
Add a Privacy Monitor feature:
- Access history ΓÇö track which apps accessed webcam, mic, or location and when (using Windows privacy access registry keys)
- Timeline view ΓÇö scrollable history showing access events with timestamps
- Alerts ΓÇö optional notifications when an app accesses sensitive hardware
- Unusual access detection ΓÇö flag access at unusual times (e.g., webcam used at 3 AM)
- Block option ΓÇö quick action to revoke an app's permission to access the device
