BUG: Unicode paths broken

I read another bug that told me I was supposed to file issues like this in the specific core repository, and that RA supports Unicode now. Well, it isn't working here. RA crashes when trying to load a ROM in my file path containing a special character, ⧸

Unicode Character “⧸” (U+29F8) - Big Solidus

My path is as follows:
D:\Gaming\2. Software\PS2\NTSC-U⧸C\xxxxx

I'm in Windows 11 with the latest RA build.
