I wonder why is this project using sonos-2 for sonos URIs and not just sonos://?

Bonus question, is it not possible to support sonos URIs for specific tracks? Currently only playlists seems to be supported. Or if not, is it possible to support tracks for tidal?

It’s universal link for Sonos S2 app. You can scan the tag with your phone and if you’re using http links it will open you music subscription app with the playlist written on the tag. sonos-2:// url opens Sonos app. No deep links unfortunately since Sonos is not supporting it.
Since S1 is no longer a thing, you’re right this can be changed to plain sonos:// and I’ve just confirmed it works with a phone and opens Sonos app.

I haven’t checked if it’s possible to play single track directly with Sonos. If it’s possible with HA action then it can be embedded in TagTuner automation.
Otherwise you can always make single track playlist 😉

Seems to kinda work to play specific tracks with sonos.

If I play some song in Sonos app and look at the state of the media player in Developer tools -> States then it shows track's media_content_id and media_content_type which can be provided to the play action. The song actually starts playing but metadata like title and cover image are not set (both in HA and in the sonos app) so it's not ideal.

Also media ID is kinda unique (something like x-sonos-http:track%2f491718965.flac?sid=174&flags=24616&sn=175) so not sure how permanent those are.

have you tried tidal shared links?
A random link I got from tidal.com looks like this https://tidal.com/track/492086765/u
Write that to tag and try scanning

Tidal share links have strange behavior. They append either "/u" or "?u" to end of the link. This is to enable cross platform link sharing for individuals. However, that prevents many links from working in TagTuner. To fix the issue, simply remove the "/u" or "?u" from the end of the link and it'll work perfectly.

For example, link from the tidal app: https://tidal.com/track/492086765?u
Reformat by removing the appended universal share is now: https://tidal.com/track/492086765
This works for albums as well.
