Non-Fatal Error Message on Installing

More of an FYI

Installing 0.34.0 Win 64 as administrator (or non-admin) from file manager

See attached screen shot for error.

Selecting IGNORE sees the installation complete successfully

This is my first ever message on GitHub so be gentle with me :-)

0.35 is out, do you mind uninstall 0.34 and install 0.35 to see if the error persists? Based on prompt it seems like a local issue with file writing permission. May self resolve.

I've uninstalled 0.34 and installed 0.36 - same error as before. Still able to click ignore and proceed. May just be a peculiarity of my PC. If no-one else is seeing it feel free to close this one. Thanks for all the dev work - really useful work.

Oh and one thing I noticed. I'd uninstalled the app but left the program running (0.34). I hadn't realised this and tried to install 0.36. I got the same error message as above but hitting ignore just took me to the next file error and I kept having to click on ignore . Not surprising but might be a pointer. Once I closed the instance of 0.34 I was able to re-start the install process for 0.36 albeit with the same error as above i.e required one click of the ignore button and all was good.

The only time I am able to trigger that warning is if during installation, exsisting NegPy didn't fully exit, as you described on your latest attempt when the old version app is still running... Maybe that's also the cause the first time around? Just speculating here. What if you install NegPy to a different directory than the preset Program Files\NegPy, and ensure current version is completely closed? Worth a try to test if you have some free time.

Your DB and current session should stay put as it's stored in a different directory.

Killing off process didn't work.
Just installed latest and installing to another directory (negpy1) seems to fix it. But like you say - may just have fixed itself following a reboot and Win Update. Congrats on the latest version - great improvements on the UX.
