GoTrader TradeStation: A Real-Time Trading Workstation Built with Dockview

I wanted to share a project I’ve been building with Dockview: GoTrader TradeStation, a browser-based trading workstation for real-time market monitoring, scanning, charting, and execution workflows.

Dockview has become the main workspace layer for the app. It lets me arrange live chart grids, scanner results, tape/time-and-sales views, quote panels, news feeds, risk panels, and market-clock tiles into saved layouts that match different trading workflows.

A few things Dockview is helping with:

• Multi-panel trading layouts with draggable/resizable tiles
• Saved workspace layouts for different market sessions and strategies
• Edge groups for compact always-on tools like news and status panels
• Tab groups and renamed tabs for organizing scanners/charts
• Fullscreen/maximized chart views when a symbol needs focus
• A consistent workspace shell around independently updating real-time tiles
• The app streams and aggregates live market data, renders multi-timeframe charts with indicators, runs scanner tiles for momentum/news/volume conditions, and keeps quote/news/tape panels synchronized around the selected symbol.

Dockview has been a great fit because the product feels much more like a desktop workstation than a traditional web dashboard. The layout flexibility is exactly what I needed for a trading workflow where attention shifts constantly between charts, scanners, tape, and news.
