Environment Details:

Application Name: Microsoft MakeCode
URL: https://makecode.microbit.org/beta
windows Edition: Windows 11 Enterprise Insider Preview(24H2)
OS Build: 26544.1000

Repro Steps:

  1. Launch application URL: https://makecode.microbit.org/
  2. Home page will open.
  3. Tab to "New Project" option and press enter. Editor screen will open.
  4. Tab to "Review, Commit and push local changes to GitHub" button and select it.
  5. Tab to "create release" button under Release zone section and press enter key.
  6. Tab to "Describe your changes" edit field.
  7. Observe the issue.

Note: Similar issue is also observed in "Editor" screen also.

Actual:

The “Describe your changes” edit field does not have a visible label associated with it. Users must rely on placeholder text or surrounding context to understand the purpose of the field.

Expected result:

A clear and persistent visual label should be programmatically and visually associated with the “Describe your changes” edit field so that its purpose is always evident.

User impact:

Users with cognitive disabilities, low vision, or screen reader users may have difficulty understanding the purpose of the edit field, especially when placeholder text disappears on focus or input, leading to confusion and potential form completion errors.
