Since the latest versions, Connect-MgGraph uses Web Account Manager (WAM), which is very convenient for the 0.001‰ of administrators who use their Windows account to administer Microsoft clouds. However, this poses a problem for the 99.999‰ of good administrators who do not use their user accounts to administer Microsoft cloud services and who store them in a secure password manager. WAN is not compatible with password managers. Would it be possible to add "-UseDefaultBrowser" to the command?

Add "-UseDefaultBrowser" to the command and user web browser for login.

Hi @CallMeByMyName, we no longer support this scenario as WAM is now necessary on Windows devices to prevent security vulnerabilities. In order to disable WAM you must use the Set-MgGraphOption -DisableLoginByWAM $true and use a custom ClientId.

When the os based broker components provide the required support run as other user scenarios will work as they used to, until then we have provided a clear workaround.

1. create your own app registration
2. Disable WAM login Set-MgGraphOption -DisableLoginByWAM $true
3. Sign in using your custom app registration Connect-MgGraph -ClientId <your-app-id> -TenantId <your-tenant-id>
