Lead-In/Out does not work

The lead-in and lead-out does not seem to work:

Furthermore on a spiral pocket the tool should not move to save Z on every offset line.

I think I've found a partial cause of the problem.
The lead_in_active and lead_out_active variables are set to "off" in the if function.
After commenting out the if, everything seems to go back to normal.
However, I don't quite understand what the check for polyline start is, and I'm not sure if commenting it out could pose any risk.

Please, say what do you think about it.

You need to set a start point to use the lead in/out function.
this is what the if is for, otherwise the starting point is in undefined places
