Status Icon not appearing

When I try to start alt1 using the alt1run.sh file, the status icon on the top bar does not appear for some reason.

I'm using Ubuntu 16.04

Check if you have the lib libappindicator installed.
sudo apt-get install libappindicator1

I'm currently using alt1 in Ubuntu 16.04.
