Idetik is a library for building web-based image viewers, including embedding in other applications. It's probably most similar to Viv, with the difference being we don't (yet) have an open source example of an actual viewer.

The project is in the pretty early stages for public consumption. I'm happy that the repo is open, but we're working on defining a public API before encouraging use.

So I'm tempted to say it belongs in "Other tools" for the time being, and probably moving it to "Zarr viewers" once we can actually point to a viewer.

in #529 I added a kind of handwavy category of "rendering libraries"

(RTD build is broken; working on a fix, sorry for the noise, only consider the description)

by your description, it seems like it could be a fit? at least temporarily
