Allow users to install selected skills from a role-based plugin instead of the entire plugin skill set

Summary

Currently, when using a role-based plugin in Codex, users cannot choose specific skills from that plugin to install via the Codex Mac app interface. Installing the plugin appears to install the full associated skill list, apps, even when only a subset is needed.

It would be useful if the Codex app interface allowed users to select which skills and apps from a role-based plugin should be installed.

Problem

Role-based plugins can include many skills, but a user may only need a few of them for a given workflow. Requiring the full plugin skill list to be installed can create unnecessary clutter, increase setup friction, and make the environment harder to manage.

Further, when viewing the installed list of skills under Manage, it does not group them by the plugins, which makes it harder to clean up what you don't need afterwards.

Proposed solution

Add an option in the Codex app/plugin interface to choose individual skills from a role-based plugin before installation. Or at least after installation to turn off some apps and skills via a little toggle, from the plugin page.

• Less clutter in the installed skills list
• More control over the Codex environment
• Easier setup for focused workflows
• Better user experience for plugins with broad or multi-purpose skill sets

Possible UI options

• Add checkboxes or toggle next to each skill and app inside the plugin install screen.
• Provide “Select all” and “Clear all” controls.
• Show a summary of selected skills before installation.
• Allow users to modify the selected skills later from the plugin settings page.

Additional context

This would be especially helpful for role-based plugins where the full plugin includes skills for multiple related workflows, but the user only needs a smaller subset for their current project.
