Current behavior
For learners in a self paced course with personalized learning schedules, if they have not completed an assignment prior to the suggested date, the assignment will appear as "past due" as if the suggested due date is a set due date.
Desired Behavior
Users in a self-paced course with PLS should have a different experience; 'past due' is conceptually different for instructor paced and self-paced courses, so the experience for learners should match the context.
Potential additional changes: this behavior is similar for both web and mobile: if an assignment is past due a suggested due date for a PLS, a learner is not able to submit the assignment, even if the 'due date' is not a hard deadline.
