[BUG] Test failures

7 tests seem to be failing in all these PRs (link, link, here, and link). These bugs should be looked into and only be skipped if the failures are erratic.

He did comment on the PR linked to this issue, today in the mentoring meeting he also mentioned adding an "only pandas 2" job to this PR to ensure compatibility with both version 2 and 3.
