the next meeting of TMSMultiLab will be on 27th June at 14:00 BST (GMT+1 / UTC+1). The meeting will be lead by @jandrushko and special guest Jason DeFreitas on the topic of "Electromyographic (EMG) data filtering and pre-processing". The link is here, details below:

Many TMS studies record EMG data from muscles; EMG is a whole set of methods with many parameters and options, some of which better than others! One major set of options is the filter settings on your amplifier, or in post-acquisition data processing. These options include: lowpass, highpass, bandpass, order.

Thanks Nick,

The general overview of what we have planned is for Jason to give an overview of EMG, what we are actually recording and what matters/important considerations we need to make, and I will then come in and discuss some work I have been doing in this area specific to MEPs.

Hi @jandrushko - I'm gutted that I missed this meeting as would have loved to have heard about your work on this. Do you have any publications / pre prints that relate to this work that you've been doing that I can use to catch up?!

Hi @jenniferdavies , unfortunately we don't have any papers out on this just yet but there are currently 1 or 2 papers in the works.

If you are able to wait, we can be sure to post the paper(s) to the group or send directly once public but currently they are at varying stages of draft format.

If you want to learn more about this sooner I might be able to arrange a time to chat about what we discussed?
