[BUG] Locking app option doesn't do anything

Samsung Tablet, stock ROM (it's not like Samsung wants us to load custom ROMs anymore...) with OneUi 8.0 and Android 16

What happened?

Option "Biometric Security" does not work. Tapping it does nothing. Therefore, it's impossible to lock application with any kind of password.

Relevant log output

I would love to provide them, but I don't see any option to collect them.

Other apps that rely on password lock - they do work, e.g. KeePassDX, so it might be problem with app itself.

EDIT: in fact it works when a fingerprint is registered. Do you have one? One issue i found is that it does not show the error message when not everything is set-up

I don't have a fingerprint lock, just a password lock.

The app specifically says "Lock the application biometrics / pin code". Unless I misunderstood something (which I might), it should read as "lock the program with face photo/fingertip OR using PIN (which for me always meant - short, number only password, usually 4 numbers but can be more)

So, either consider rewording it to specifically mention that password-only is not supported, by dropping "PIN" part, because adding biometric lock (at least) in Android - always requires to setup either PIN or password, which means user will always have either PIN or password in that case)

OR

Better yet, consider adding separate option for password only protected system, not every device has fingertip scanner (I have one of this, which was extra confusing) and/or willing to use it or face scanner, but still wanting to use password prompt, because otherwise there no identification at all.

In any case, I would consider adding any feedback on why this option did nothing, some people might be extra dumb (like me).
