Put your local timezone in the adjusted offset row appropriately

In my config file I added America/Pacific, I'm in Mountain (1 hour ahead of Pacific, but behind all others I added), then added America/Eastern and more timezones to the east of me. Having my row be before Pacific too is disorienting.

Had I known about this tool last week, I would have also had US/Hawaii in the list and it would have been worse.

Perhaps a config parameter / command argument to sort times in ascending order, default on but adds the ability to shut it off?

I agree that being able to sort by offset could be useful indeed, and on by default (with ascending order) also looks reasonable. 👍🏻

I think it could also be a config option because I tend to order zones in a certain way (ascending) and I’d be surprised if they rendered differently unless the default config is kind of explicit about this.

I’m not sure it’s worth additional keybindings to switch the sort direction at runtime, but it wouldn’t bother me either.

The traditional/current tz behaviour is that the order is Local first, followed by the user’s preferred order of optional zones which can include the Local zone. So, in the above case, the user can put Local, US/Mountain, or US/Hawaii in their preferred order explicitly:

tz US/Hawaii US/Pacific US/Mountain US/Eastern UTC GMT

The z keystroke will show the numerical offsets to confirm that they are sorted.

For users who travel among timezones, it is useful to always have Local at the top for reference.

Nevertheless, auto-sorting of optional zones would be convenient to keep things ordered when some timezones start/end DST on different days.
