Karousel version: 0.16
Plasma version: 6.6.3
X11 / Wayland: Wayland
Description: I’m not certain it is a Karousel bug, but it started happening around the time I started using Karousel. It might be the companion effect linked in Karousel’s readme.md that I also use.
After some time (~1 or 2 days counting the time my computer sleeps) a window that’s been tiled a long time (most of the time it’s Firefox, but it happened to Amarok once) becomes invisible. I can still resize and move it through Karousel shortcuts, but the only thing visible where the window is is my desktop.
I tried disabling/re-enabling Karousel, detiling/retiling or minimizing/deminimizing the window, but the only thing that works is to close the window. In Amarok’s case, closing it to the system tray was enough, but I have to kill Firefox to make it useful again.
I’m not well versed in KWin’s internals, so I have no idea where to start diagnosing this. The first thing I’m trying is disabling the geometry change effect, and I’ll report back in a couple of days. If you have any leads I’d be happy to explore them.
