When using the install package feature games can’t be updated, games (base version) can be installed but trying to install an update file fails after about 5-7 seconds which also kills the ps5upload process on the PS5 and return the following error:
This update couldn't be applied. ps5upload installs updates through the PS5's safe install path (never one that could delete your base game), and on this console the PS5 declined it - most often because the update doesn't match your installed version of the game, or the base game isn't installed yet. Your base game is untouched. If you have the right update, you can also apply it from the PS5 itself: Settings - System - Debug Settings - Game → Package Installer.
Trying to install the same pkg using a USB works just fine, trying to install the update from the package installer in debug settings doesn’t show up anything if it was uploaded to the PS5.
