[Feature]: when creating a new chat, the selected model should be the most recently used by default #1057

When I open a new chat, I'd prefer to have the model I've been using previously be the model selected rather than defaulting to GPT 5.4 and/or newest
Proposed solution
Add a setting for default model for new chats
toggle for most recently used
or
select from drop down
Why this matters
small quality of life fix that will be necessary once more provider are available anyway
