Receive stream data from worker?

I'm after something that can receive data over a stream from a worker.
Is this something you are interested in implementing?

It would be amazing to support that too but it's not in our plans at the moment. Would you like to work on it?

Came across this a while ago and this would be immensely useful for one of my projects (involves receiving data from a cloud object storage, decrypting it in a worker thread, decompressing and sending it in the HTTP response, all of which would need to be done on a stream). Any plans to implement two-way data sharing with the worker? If not, I would like to attempt to work on it. Please let me know if there's a particular process for that.

Finally got around to attempt to implement this. Had a question though - is there a particular reason why ThreadStream does not implement Writable instead of EventEmitter? I would assume that it would be a cleaner API (also offering piping), considering that the methods exposed by ThreadStream mimic a writable stream in many ways.

I'm guessing it has to do with the intended purpose: to be used in a thread.

But if I understand correctly, ThreadStream is not the one being used in a thread - it is internally managing one. Whether it implements the EventEmitter interface or Writable would be a deliberate choice. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
