Is wide pseudo-bank redundant?

I tried to integrate this module into the project I am working on.
(can provide more info on request).
Yet due to some project-specific requirements, this was limiting and I decided to develop my own memory island.
(can comment further about this too)

I have one question about your design choices:
As far as I understand, the concept of wide pseudo banks reduces routing/interco complexity for narrow ports.
Why didn't you just choose a different type of interco within the TCDM (e.g. butterfly)?
I am aware it is not the same circuit solution, but the aim of reducing the complexity should be the same...
