Coordinate and complete all activities required to release version 1.4 of the production artifact repository. The release includes finalizing features, preparing and publishing updated deployment artifacts, and generating a new Windows executable that points to the latest artifact versions.

Scope & Objectives

• Ensure all features planned for v1.4 are completed and validated
• Prepare and publish updated backend and frontend artifacts
• Update platform-specific installers (Mac DMG, Windows executable)
• Perform and verify the production release

Tasks

Feature Completion

• Finalize and merge all features planned for v1.4
• Confirm that all changes are tested and approved for release

Artifacts & Packaging

• Prepare deployment package (artifacts and executables)

• Update Mac DMG with:

  • Updated backend JAR
  • Updated frontend JAR

• Publish new artifacts:

  • Backend artifact v1.8.4
  • Frontend artifact v1.2.2

• Generate updated file hashes for all modified artifacts

• Create a new Windows clickable executable pointing to the latest artifact versions

🚢 Release Execution

• Schedule and perform the production release

• Verify post-release:

  • Artifact availability
  • Integrity (hash validation)
  • Correct version references in installers

• All v1.4 features are released to production
• Backend and frontend artifacts are published with correct versions
