Issues with the Arc Furnace

The "Arc Furnace Electrodes" blueprint recipe was removed so it is only possible to craft electrodes with 50% durability in the Metal Press. This is especially annoying when trying to automate the Arc Furnace as electrodes need to be manually inserted and cannot be auto-imported.
Another issue is the huge power consumption of high-tier IE machines which currently (as far as I know) can only be handled by dozens of Thermoelectric Generators running Uranium - Water.

Couldn't you build a Diesel Generator and run it with Bio Diesel?
