Update to latest intercom SDK

Hi There, we've implemented intercom via device mode. For this reason we are currently on SDK version 6.0.1. Intercom has just released a new version of their SDK version 7.1.0. this version contains new features we would like to use, but are currently not able to use as we are tied to the version segment device mode supports.

Our question is; how often do you update SDK version, and when can we expect to be on version 7.1.0?

likewise would like to see the update (as of time of writing, intercom's ver. is 9.1.0).
We're using intercom bundled with segment plugin in our app. The links in the app do not work, and we were told by intercom that the most probable solution is to update intercom dependency. This unfortunately does not work out of the box (i.e., after declaring explicite transitive dependencies, gradle tells the intercom libs are up-to-date, the app builds, but waits forever on initialisation)
