Java 17 not working

Hi, I am having the same issue as here:

I created the system gradle.properties file as described, but the plugin is still failing and all files report syntax errors

• Windows 10 Pro x64
• IntelliJ 2021.3
• Using gradle wrapper if that makes a difference
• gradle.properties is in the root of my project

Setting the proper google-java-format version (in build.gradle.kts) worked for me

}
