Can't turn off showing the string from which the formula is generated

I tried setting
"fast-preview": {" +
" disabled: true"
because if I enter "$$5x = \frac{x+5}{12}$$" the view shows the raw string, just like here, in the chemistry example. I don't want to see that, I only need the final result.
