Roll a tag indicating supported commit?

Hi! I'm packaging this for Debian, as a build dependency of golang-github-smallstep-certificates which currently pins scep at a25cabb but the latest commit is 261f960 which seems to contain some logical changes. Would you consider tagging a v1.0.0 (or v0.0.0..) release indicating which version is supported? And hopefully eventually golang-github-smallstep-certificates could then be bumped to use that tag.
