Speedometer doesn't take vertical falling speed into account

For example: when I'm falling straight down, the meter shows me moving at 0 km/h which is obviously wrong.

This is intentional, as 3d speed is usually not relevant; it's hard to understand and usually out of your control. For example, when jumping your speed would continually increase and decrease which makes reading your speed difficult.

I can definitely make it an option, though.
