Recent updates of mkdocs-material show the following information:
Material for MkDocs is in maintenance mode
Going forward, the Material for MkDocs team focuses on Zensical, a next-gen static site generator built from first principles. We will provide critical bug fixes and security updates for Material for MkDocs until November 2026.
Further reading suggests that the whole MkDocs project might no longer be the to-go choice:

Given that there won't be security updates after November 2026, we need to migrate our documentation to something else by then.
Zensical seems like the obvious candidate at first glance, but maybe there are other (better) alternatives?
