It's not that I want to look forward to it, but I'm afraid of the nightmare after forcing AGP 9.0. It's better to use it earlier, so that the project won't have to be relocated again

@terrakok has the time come? The latest Android Studio seems to support AGP 9.x:

Hopefully this time there won’t be any issues with the new @Preview mechanism 🙂

TBH, i actually think this should wait, we updated to AGP 9 and it's been hell, until Inteillj fix the android plugin to support 9.0 it wont be fun

But, it will be new project, without any migrations

The migration isn't the issue :).

Idea doesn't support 9+ right now and if you aren't already, I would recommend using Intellij for KMP development. AS is painfully buggy and far behind on useful features when you have multiple targets esp backend and DBs in your project.
