Racing games won't vibrate without driveboard rom? #307

Description

In the WheelBoard.cpp code, there is a comment left and vibration progress not completed.

  • Implementation of the CWheelBoard class: drive board (force feedback for wheel)
  • emulation.
  • NOTE: Simulation does not yet work. Drive board ROMs are required.

I understand that basically you need to complete real MODEL3 EPROM and it is 64KB data inside.
However, it's been 25 years since original chassis released and it can be more optimized to modern FFB steering controller and xinput gamepad.
Original driveboard parts are almost sold out everywhere and hard to find them.

Is it possible to complete detach FFB & vibrate code from driveboard and become modern-enhanced feature without EPROM?
