Extra binaries e.g. rmt

Arch Linux's tar package has extra binaries e.g.

# tar
usr/bin/backup
usr/bin/restore
usr/bin/tar
usr/lib/tar/backup.sh
usr/lib/tar/dump-remind
usr/lib/tar/rmt

# libarchive
usr/bin/bsdcat
usr/bin/bsdcpio
usr/bin/bsdtar
usr/bin/bsdunzip

Should this project have them too?

I don't think these make sense:

usr/bin/bsdcat
usr/bin/bsdcpio
usr/bin/bsdunzip

rmt probably makes sense. I don't know the other ones off the top of my head. What do they do?

And what about POSIX utility pax , see uutils/coreutils#9650

I think there are two possibilities:

1. tar and pax can share enough code for it to be worthwhile. This is possible since I believe GNU tar can generate POSIX archives. If yes, we'll need to as well.

2. This project is really uutils/archives, in which case it needs subprojects for zip, pax, and cpio.

I haven't thought about this enough to have an opinion as both are a solid case of scope creep.

Tagging @sylvestre as FYI since this is really more of a uutils decision than a project decision and I'd be fine with either.

paxutils is a dead project, and another person has added support for posix archives to GNU tar.

But also, we don't have to just clone what they do. =)

Nevertheless, renaming the repo to paxutils would be a great choice :p
