Since RoadFlare is a trusted-driver flow (rider personally knows the driver) and payment happens outside the app, the PIN verification step may be unnecessary friction.
Idea:
- Allow skipping PIN verification for RoadFlare rides
- Replace the PIN screen with an embedded chat view so rider and driver can coordinate directly
- Driver could simply confirm pickup without PIN exchange
Considerations:
- PIN still has value for accountability/record-keeping
- Could be a per-driver or per-ride toggle rather than removing PIN entirely
- Needs protocol support for PIN-less confirmation on the Android driver side
