Handling 201 and 202 responses

If an action does a PUT or POST resulting in 201 CREATED or 202 ACCEPTED, with a link in the Location or Content-Location header (and an empty response), it seems to blow up. Is there a way around this?

Actually, 201 and 202 should provide the entity with links to the resource versions.

However, there is 204 code that explicitly forbids any message body, and is a valid response for various operations (such as DELETE).
