This is a very interesting plugin. Using wordress as a headless CMS for a middleman frontend makes sense, specially for a client that's not technical or as an alternative way to be able to post on-the-go when I don't have access to the middleman source repo.
How did you solve the embedded image issue? Does it export fetches images from a post and correctly fixes the links to use a local version. I couldn't find anything in the code, so I assume images would still be hosted by wordpress?
