This morning, my associate reported that his syntax coloring was half black on black and the rest was wrong. (We use black backgrounds in our code editors.) So, I exported my Codist color settings from v8.1.x for him to import, but nothing changed. Then I updated a DIFFERENT extension and restarted VS2022 to discover that Codist had ALSO been updated automatically (that's OK, I just didn't notice beforehand.) To my surprise, my syntax coloring was now half black on black and the rest was wrong, too! So I spent several minutes changing the colors to at least be visible -- not quite what I had before as I couldn't remember them all, but visible. Then I exported the colors again. I'm attaching the two files to this (I hope). It looks to me like I list just about ALL of the customizations I had slowly made over time with this update. You may want to include a warning about this in the release notes. Here are the files (with .txt extensions added to make github happy.)
SPV-Codist-8.2.styles.txt
SPV-Codist-8.1.styles.txt
Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help, should you choose to look into this. Despite this issue, Codist is still pretty darn great! (smile)
