File upload?

A lot of times teachers upload actual documents to blackboard. Word documents, power points, etc. Of course, what we want them to do is use markdown in place of word documents. But ❓ in the place of powerpoint slides..?

There are other things that they upload as well. How much, if any, would/should we support? 🍍

I was thinking of adding a materials table of some sorts that links to an assignment or message and to a downloadable file. That way instructors could upload one file and then attach it to any appropriate pieces. The schema would need to have a unique material ID, course ID, some sort of "general ID", and then some sort of flag to indicate whether it's linked to an assignment or message... I'll think about it more.

Rethinking that last comment. Probably going to need an uploads / files table that links an uploaded file path to a course, and then an attachments / materials table that links an uploads / files record to an assignments / messages record.
