My goal was to avoid automatically retrieving all objects, instead fetching only their object IDs and requesting the full objects only when necessary.
Additionally, I separated the functions for referencing and referenced objects. Specifically, when the objects are requested within a function, I wanted to limit the retrieval to only those that are referencing or referenced, in order to skip unnecessary queries.
