Welcome to FaceID! This application provides high-performance face identification and liveness detection. It protects against spoofing using advanced techniques. Follow this guide to download and run the software easily.
FaceID is designed to help you recognize faces accurately while ensuring that your system is secure from common spoofing methods such as photos and videos. It incorporates two main techniques:
- Active Challenge-Response: This method checks for user engagement through actions like blinking and changing poses.
- Passive Texture Analysis: This technique uses Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) frequency monitoring to analyze skin texture and detect potential fakes.
Additionally, it features local JSON biometric storage and pose-aware signature matching, ensuring that your data remains secure and easily retrievable.
- Operating System: Windows 10 or later / macOS Sierra or later.
- Processor: Intel Core i5 or equivalent.
- RAM: At least 8 GB.

Download the Installer: Locate the file for your operating system (e.g.,
.exefor Windows or.dmgfor macOS) and click on it to start the download. -
Run the Installer:
- For Windows: Double-click the
.exefile you downloaded. Follow the prompts to install FaceID on your computer. - For macOS: Open the
.dmgfile and drag the FaceID icon into the Applications folder.

Launch FaceID: Once installed, find FaceID in your applications menu and open it.
After launching FaceID, you may need to configure a few settings.
- Camera Permissions: Grant access to your device's camera to begin face detection.
- Profile Setup: Follow the on-screen instructions to create a profile. Ensure your face is well lit for optimal accuracy.
- Testing: Stand in front of your camera to test the application's performance. Make sure to follow the prompts for blinking and posing.
- Open the Application: Start by launching FaceID from your applications list.
- Face Recognition: Position yourself in front of your camera. The application will prompt you to blink and change poses.
- Access Features: Explore additional features such as history logs and biometric storage from the main menu.
FaceID ensures that your biometric data remains secure on your device. All data is stored locally in JSON format, which means it does not upload or share your information with outside servers.
A: FaceID supports most standard webcams. Ensure your camera drivers are updated.
A: Currently, FaceID is designed for desktop use only. Support for mobile applications is in development.
A: Ensure you are in a well-lit area and follow the blinking/posing instructions accurately for best results.
