Summary of Changes

Hello @Ammar-Alnagar, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request focuses on enhancing the project's foundational aspects by reorganizing its file structure for better maintainability, enriching the project metadata and licensing, and improving core Rust code through Default trait implementations and minor refactorings. A major part of this change involves the introduction of a comprehensive test suite, covering unit and integration tests for key modules, which will ensure the stability and correctness of future developments.

Highlights

  • Project Restructuring: The project's file structure has been reorganized, moving core files like Cargo.lock, config_example.toml, plan.md, and all src/ contents from a rust_tui_coder/ subdirectory directly to the repository root.
  • Updated Cargo.toml and Licensing: The Cargo.toml file has been significantly updated with comprehensive metadata including authors, description, license, repository, homepage, documentation, keywords, and categories. A new LICENSE-MIT file has also been added to the project.
  • Default Trait Implementations: The Agent and App structs now implement the Default trait, providing convenient default constructors for these key components.
  • LLM API Call Refactoring: Minor refactorings were applied to the llm.rs module, specifically changing how parameters are passed to reqwest::Client::post calls, removing an unnecessary reference to the format! macro's output.
  • Improved UI Logic and Scrolling: The ui.rs module received updates to its conversation and tool log scrolling calculations, now correctly accounting for UI borders to provide more accurate scroll behavior. String prefix handling for conversation messages was also refactored for better readability and safety using strip_prefix.
  • Comprehensive Test Suite Addition: Extensive unit tests have been added for the agent, app, and config modules, along with a new suite of integration tests. These tests cover various functionalities including file operations, application state management, plan workflows, and streaming interactions, significantly improving code reliability.

Code Review

This pull request is a significant improvement to the project. It reorganizes the file structure, adds a comprehensive suite of unit and integration tests, and refactors several parts of the code to be more idiomatic and correct. The introduction of Default implementations, type aliases, and safer string handling with strip_prefix are all great changes. My review focuses on further improving the new tests for robustness and updating placeholder metadata in Cargo.toml.
