Summary

Closes #605

Adds docs/IREC_ENERGYWEB_INTEROP.md — a research document covering the technical and procedural requirements for bridging SolarProof certificates to I-REC(E) and Energy Web Origin, supporting the Level 3 roadmap item.

What's covered

Section Contents
I-REC(E) Integration path, required data fields (device + issuance), key gaps (MWh granularity, centralised registry, no native crypto proof)
Energy Web Origin Integration path, EAC data schema, key gap (dual-chain EVM bridge required)
Comparison table I-REC vs Energy Web across 7 dimensions
Recommended phases Phase 1 (I-REC bridge, high priority), Phase 2 (EW bridge), Phase 3 (standard advocacy)
Open questions 5 blockers that need business/legal resolution before implementation

Key findings

  • I-REC is the higher priority — broader market reach, REST API to Evident registry, medium integration complexity
  • Energy Web requires an EVM bridge microservice — higher complexity, relevant for the EW ecosystem
  • SolarProof's Ed25519 anchored readings are a differentiator — no existing standard requires or validates cryptographic MRV proofs; this is an advocacy opportunity
  • MRV granularity gap: I-REC issues per MWh (monthly batches); SolarProof needs an aggregation step

…e#605)

Documents technical and procedural requirements for bridging SolarProof
certificates to I-REC(E) (Evident registry) and Energy Web Origin (ERC-1888).
Covers data gaps, integration phases, open questions, and references.
