What TEMA does?

This API returns the triple exponential moving average (TEMA) values. The related REST API documentation is here


Including the TEMA namespace

The very first thing to do before diving into TEMA calls is to include the right namespace.

How to get a TEMA object?

The TEMA object is retrieved from the Connection object.

The snippet below shows how to get the Connection object:

Once you got the Connection object you can extract the TEMA from it.

Perform a TEMA Synchronous Request

To perform a TEMA request you have 2 options:

  1. The request with constants:

IAvapiResponse_TEMA Query(string symbol,
		TEMA_interval interval,
		int time_period,
		TEMA_series_type series_type);

  1. The request without constants:

IAvapiResponse_TEMA QueryPrimitive(string symbol,
		string interval,
		string time_period,
		string series_type);

Perform an TEMA Asynchronous Request

To perform an TEMA asynchronous request you have 2 options:

  1. The request with constants:

		TEMA_interval interval,
		int time_period,
		TEMA_series_type series_type);

  1. The request without constants:

async Task<IAvapiResponse_TEMA> QueryAsync(string symbol,
		string interval,

Parameters

The parameters below are needed to perform the TEMA request.

  • symbol: The name of the equity
  • interval: The time interval between two consecutive data points in the time series.
  • time_period: Number of data points used to calculate each moving average value.
  • series_type: The price type in the time series. The types supported are: close, open, high, low

The request with constants

The request with constants implies the use of different enums:

  • TEMA_interval
  • TEMA_series_type

TEMA_interval: The time interval between two consecutive data points in the time series.

TEMA Response

The response of a TEMA request is an object that implements the IAvapiResponse_TEMA interface.

The IAvapiResponse_TEMA interface has two members: RawData and Data.

  • RawData: represents the json response in string format.
  • Data: It represents the parsed response in an object implementing the interface IAvapiResponse_TEMA_Content.
