Rat Bot

Overview

This bot brings the cuteness of Rats straight to your server! Providing cute rat images and rat facts! It provides multiple commands. Currently, this bot can only be run locally.

This bot uses Rat-API, repo can be found here.

Installation

1. Clone the Repository

Using Git, copy these files into a folder. Use this command:

git clone https://github.com/ChloeSAPage/Rat-Bot.git

2. Install the requirements

pip install -r requirements.txt

3. Create an .env file in the root directory and add your Discord Bot token.

This can be found on the Discord Developer Portal. More information can be found here.

4. Add the bot to your server

4. Run the bot

python bot.py

When the bot successfully runs the following statement will be printed to the console: Rat Bot has connected to Discord!

Using Rat Bot

Commands

1. !ratpic

Rat bot will send a random picture of a Rat. Rat images are given via Rat API.

If this command fails then the following message will be send by Rat Bot: I don't have any Rat Pics :(

2. !ratfact

Rat Bot will send a random fact about rats! Rat Facts are given via Rat API.
