Data Researcher Specifications

  • Each research partner will receive the following compute resources:

    • AWS m4.xlarge data compute node. This translates roughly into 4 CPU cores, and 16GB of RAM.
    • Dedicated PostgreSQL RDS instance m4.xlarge size using PostgreSQL 9.5. This translates into 4 CPU cores and 16GB of RAM.

  • The data compute nodes use Centos 7 and have the following software packages installed:

    • NumPy
    • SciPy
    • Matplotlib
    • IPython
    • Python-Pandas
    • Sympy
    • NLTK
    • SciKit-Learn

  • Sudo or admin access is not available on the data nodes or PostgreSQL server.

  • All access to data node is via SSH only behind a VPN tunnel.

  • Direct PostgreSQL access is not supported.
