# reqex_query

A simple Django project that allows users to search for text in a database using regular expressions.

**Features**
- Users can enter a regular expression and search for text in the database.
- The results of the search are displayed in a table.
- Users can click on a result to view the full text of the record.

**Requirements**
- Python 3.6+
- Django 2.2+
- Regex

**Installation**
1. Clone the repository

`git clone https://github.com/Derrickkoko1234/reqex_query.git`


2. Create a virtual environment and activate it:

```
python3 -m venv venv
source venv/bin/activate
```


3. Install the requirements:

`pip install -r requirements.txt`


4. Run the development server:

`python manage.py runserver`



The development server will be running on http://localhost:8000.

**Usage**
1. Go to the http://localhost:8000 URL in your browser.
2. Enter a pattern and text in the fields provided.
3. Choose either Full Match or First Match from the Options dropdown.
4. Click on the "Search" button.
5. The results of the search will be displayed in the results page.

**Deployment**

To deploy the project to production, you can use a variety of deployment methods, such as Heroku or AWS Elastic Beanstalk.
