Open Cognitive License v1.0

First Principle Codex OS (FPCOS) Copyright © 2024 Bunyawat Dechanon (ElmatadorZ)


Grant of Rights

Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any individual, team, organization, or entity obtaining a copy of this Cognitive OS, its documentation, and associated files (the "System"), to deal in the System without restriction, including without limitation the rights to:

  • Use, copy, modify, merge, and distribute the System
  • Build derivative works, products, and services upon the System
  • Incorporate the System as a foundation layer in commercial or non-commercial products

Subject to the conditions below.


Conditions

1. Attribution — All Use — Mandatory

All use of this System must include the following attribution in a visible location:

Built on First Principle Codex OS v1.0 by Bunyawat Dechanon (ElmatadorZ)

Attribution must appear in:

  • Documentation (README, Wiki, or equivalent)
  • System prompt or skill definition file (if embedded)
  • Any public-facing description of the system

2. Free Use Threshold

Use is free of charge provided:

  • Non-commercial purposes, OR
  • Commercial use with annual gross revenue below $10,000,000 USD

3. Commercial License Threshold

If the incorporating system generates annual gross revenue exceeding $10,000,000 USD:

A license fee of 2% of gross annual revenue is due to the Author.

"Directly uses FPCOS" means: FPCOS layers (L0–L5) or their derivatives are actively executed as part of the system's reasoning or output pipeline.

Revenue threshold is calculated on a per-product / per-service basis.


4. Modification and Derivative Works

  • Modified versions must be clearly labeled as derivatives
  • Modified versions may not claim to be FPCOS v1.0
  • Modified versions retain this license and attribution notice

5. No Sublicensing of License Terms

Users may not sublicense, re-license, or modify the terms of this license in derivative works.

Both must appear in the child skill's documentation. The FPCOS attribution is not replaced — it is carried forward.
