I ran the colorizing portion of this process through GIS software. I'm very happy with the result.

No, it does not mess with the current system which uses a different, separate jpg with a different color spectrum (doesn't use green iirc) for the actual calculations. These images that were updated with GIS methods are only for user viewing afaik. |
