WebDev Launchpad: Operation HTMLift-off

Now that you've learn the basics of web development, we have a mission for you! WebDev Launchpad: Operation HTMLift-off is an activity that focuses on working with web accessibility and helps you learn how to make websites easier to use for everyone, including people who use screen readers. Are you ready to take on the challenge?

Prerequisites

  1. Make sure you use Google Chrome as your browser
  2. Download the WAVE Evaluation Tool extension
  3. Install Live Server Extension on VSCode

Your Task

  1. Right click on index.html. If you have Liver Server, you should see Open with Live Server.

  1. Open index.html using Live Server.

  1. Click on the extension in Google Chrome and click on WAVE Evaluation Tool.

  1. You should see a panel from WAVE Evaluation Tool which contains the issues of the web page.

You may use the reference tab to learn more about the issue and come up with a solution. We encourage you to be resourceful, so use websites like MDN and StackOverflow to fix the problems. demo-reference

Submission

You may submit a screenshot of your output in WebDev Launchpad: Operation HTMLift-off Form. Make sure you include the WAVE Evaluation Result in the screenshot.
